ToneLink™ WS-5 Wireless System

📡 5.8GHz Band, Above WiFi Traffic

🎧 About 6ms Latency, Feels Like Your Cable

🔋 Up to 7 Hours Per Charge

⚙️ Auto-Pairs in Seconds, No Menus

How It Works

Setup is simple, and the results are immediate:

  • Plug and Play: connect the transmitter to your guitar or bass, and the receiver to your amp or pedal.
  • Automatic Sync: turn them on and they pair instantly. No apps, no menus.
  • 5.8GHz Transmission: your signal travels above the crowded 2.4GHz band where WiFi and most wireless gear operate.
  • Rechargeable Battery: up to 7 hours per charge, enough for a rehearsal and a gig.

The WS-5 holds your signal steady so you can focus on playing, not on your rig.

Compatibility

WS-5 works seamlessly with any guitar or bass, including electric and acoustic-electric models.

Its 1/4″ (6.35mm) and 1/8″ (3.5mm) outputs let you connect to amps, pedals, headphones, and other audio devices, making it a fit for practice, recording, and live performance.

Please note: WS-5 is designed for stringed instruments and standard audio devices. If you need to go wireless with a microphone, the WS-X is the XLR system built for that.

Our Guarantee

We back the ToneLink WS-5 with a 60-day risk-free trial and a 2-year warranty. Try it in your own rig, at real rehearsals and real gigs. If it is not right for you, return it within 60 days for a full refund. No restocking fees, no questions.

Why 5.8GHz

Built for Rooms That Eat Wireless

Every gigging musician has the story. The venue where three other bands run wireless. The bar with a router behind the stage. The festival where the RF space is a traffic jam. Mid-chorus, a 2.4GHz system hiccups, and for one long second you are the only person in the room making no sound.

The WS-5 transmits at 5.8GHz, above the band where WiFi, Bluetooth, and most budget wireless systems fight for space. Less traffic means fewer collisions, which means your signal holds in exactly the rooms that kill other systems. Add roughly 6ms of latency and 48kHz/16-bit uncompressed audio, and it plays like the cable you left at home.

The WS-4 made wireless sound like wired. The WS-5 makes it hold up in the worst room you will ever play.

I play a monthly residency at a bar with four other bands running their own wireless gear. Every other system I tried would drop out at least once a set. The WS-5 has not cut out once in three months. That 5.8GHz band actually matters in a room like that.

I am the guy who A/B tests everything before I trust it. I ran the WS-5 next to my usual cable through the same amp and could not tell them apart, not on cleans, not on high gain. That's the only test that matters to me and it passed.

No manual, no app, just turned both units on and they paired in about two seconds. Did a full four hour wedding gig on one charge with battery to spare. This is the least I have had to think about my rig in fifteen years of playing out.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the WS-4 and WS-5?

Both deliver the same uncompressed audio quality and cable-like latency. The WS-5 transmits at 5.8GHz instead of 2.4GHz, which keeps your signal above WiFi and most wireless traffic. The trade-off is runtime: the WS-5 gives you up to 7 hours per charge, the WS-4 up to 10. If you mostly play at home or in small venues, the WS-4 is all you need. If you gig in RF-crowded rooms, the WS-5 is the one built for that.

What devices are compatible with the WS-5?

The WS-5 works seamlessly with electric guitars, basses, effects pedals, and any instrument that uses a standard 1/4" (6.35 mm) output jack. No apps or setup needed, just plug and play.

How far can I move from my amp?

You can play wirelessly up to 131 feet (40 meters) outdoors and about 66 feet (20 meters) indoors, even through walls.

Is there any noticeable delay (latency)?

No. The WS-5's ultra-low latency of about 6 milliseconds means your playing feels natural and perfectly in sync.

How long does the battery last?

Each charge lasts up to 7 hours (2 hour charging time), with easy recharging via the included USB-C cable. If you need longer runtime, the WS-4 gives you up to 10 hours.

What is included in the box?

The package includes the wireless transmitter, wireless receiver, USB-C charging cable, and a simple user manual.

Does it work with my bass guitar?

Yes! The WS-5 works perfectly with both electric and bass guitars (active or passive). You get the same clear, lag-free sound no matter what you play.

Does it work with pedals?

Absolutely. The WS-5 plugs in just like a regular cable, so it works seamlessly with your pedalboard and effects. No extra setup needed.

I am satisfied with the WS-5 Tone Links, I used them in an area where the internet was not good, but the signal was great as I played. I am planning to test them with my ten string bass.

Unlike the nux 2.4ghz version i have from a few years ago, these 5.8ghz ones are excellent and after extensive testing against my preferred cable (including a blind test where one of my kids swapped the cable for these wireless units so i could judge, unbiased, solely on what i could hear) i can’t tell the difference. no latency or tone degradation - this is my new live cable solution. for the price, there’s no point buying a more expensive option - the only question will be how long they last. i will be getting a second set to use both simultaneously on my electric with piezo bridge which needs two cables. will comment on that in the review of the second set once purchased.

I have tried many wireless guitar systems with mixed results, this one has good reviews

And at the offer price was worth trying.

It arrived on time with excellent tracking, thankfully it works very well with no drop outs

Or interference issues.

It even works with active pickups which not many do, and no pairing required.

Highly recommended and excellent value when on offer.

Tyrell B.

Yes, you came to check the comments and yes, no delay and works better than I thought so go ahead and buy it, you definitely won't regret it.

The product is simply perfect, I used it on the clarinet, after 10 hours on stage two teeth still had charge, I am very satisfied with the product.

U
Ursula S.

It operates very well without interference, and the response is quick without any delay.

The sound quality is excellent and very good. It's unfortunate that there is no storage case.

It would be even better if you could provide a pouch or storage case in the future.

I have +25db mid boost preamp on my guitar and the sound is pretty good with 5,8

And 2,4 muffle the sound

J

Works well. No delays are heard. There are 4 channels - you can switch for better sound quality. Includes a charging cable for 2 type-C and a convenient case.
